What to Expect
Most of our worship services follow a traditional liturgical format with hymns led by our choir. Once a month, our praise band leads the music, and we follow a more contemporary format of worship.
There are many opportunities to actively participate in worship via responsive readings, singing, and prayers.
Special Services
Throughout the year, special worship services take place in line with various holidays and community happenings. These include things like Wednesday evenings worship during Advent, Confirmation Sunday, and more. Upcoming special services are announced on our website and social media.
Holy Sacraments
Communion
At Tree of Life, Holy Communion is a central sacrament where Christ is believed to be truly present in the bread and wine, serving as a means of grace that forgives sins and strengthens faith. We practice open communion, welcoming all baptized Christians to partake. The elements of bread and wine/juice are served via loaf and individual cups.
Baptism
In the ELCA, baptism is a sacrament open to both adults and children of all ages that signifies entry into the Christian faith and community, serving as a means of grace for forgiveness and new life through the Holy Spirit. Baptism marks the beginning of a lifelong covenant with God, emphasizing communal responsibility and ongoing faith development.
