The Movie Night on June 7 was a lot of fun. So much so, in fact, that we’re doing it again! Join us for fun and fellowship on Wednesday, June 28 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We'll enjoy popcorn and other "movie snacks" and have a generally supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time! We hope to see you there! 

In his sermon on June 18, Pastor Chris referenced On Juneteenth, a book by Annette Gordon-Reed - a “raised in Conroe” professor, author, and historian. The book pulls together history, politics, and personal memories into several informed essays reflecting on the history of Juneteenth and “urges Texans and all Americans to reflect critically on this tangled history.”

We invite adults to join us in reading and discussing this book each evening during VBS. Please email OfficeMail@TreeChurch.net if you plan to attend. We have purchased several copies of the book for use during the class; let Jill know when you email if you need one! If you prefer to purchase your own, it is available on Amazon in hardback and Kindle formats. Used books may also be available. 

Vacation Bible School is coming to Tree of Life the week of July 10-14! The theme this year is “Stellar” and it’s going to be AWESOME! We’ll start with a light dinner at 5:00 pm, with the VBS program running from 5:30 to 8:30 each evening. So that we can be best prepared, we ask that families register each child that will attend VBS by the end of the day Sunday, June 25.

And of course: a successful VBS requires a lot of input from a lot of people! We need volunteers to assist with the planning, preparing, leading, and feeding!

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center needs 1,000 donations every day of the year to serve patients in our community. There is no substitute for blood - your donation saves lives! To help with the substantial need for units of blood in our area, Tree of Life plans to host a blood drive on Sunday, June 25 from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
