The Rev. Christopher E. Lake, Senior Pastor
Pastor Chris Lake has been at Tree of Life Lutheran Church since September 1, 2008. Pastor Chris (as he likes to be called) and his family moved here from Geneva, Nebraska where he served for 5 years. Pastor Lake is a native of Lubbock, Texas. He attended Texas Lutheran College where he received his bachelors degree and Trinity Lutheran Seminary where he earned his Masters. His background includes serving at numerous churches with a heavy emphasis in youth ministry and chaplaincy over the past 16 years. He also has a strong background as computer tech and worked for a short time in the industry before answering the call to serve God as a pastor. He is certified as an EMT and once a month can be found on a truck volunteering with Angleton EMS. He also enjoy's reading, photography, small electronics, trap shooting, golf, and playing his guitar or mandolin.
Pastor Chris and Katherine have been married and have three children: Madeline, Benjamin, and Ainsley. Katherine is also a native Texan from Alvin. She works from home for a local eye doctor and keeps the family moving in a positive direction.

 Ryan Dockery, Director of Youth and Family Ministry
Ryan Dockery was born and raised in La Grange, Texas, where most of his family still resides. Ryan worked five summers at Lutherhill Ministries, where he served in a variety of roles including two years on leadership staff. Ryan received his B.B.A in General Business Administration in May, 2012 from Sam Houston State University. He has been serving at Tree of Life since June, 2012. Ryan will begin seminary to become a pastor starting in September of 2013.

Ida Craig, Office Administrator
Ida Craig was born in Houston and resides in Conroe. She is close with her family, who all live in the area.
Ida is happily married with three children: Kyle, Jessika, and Devin. Ida earned her Bachelors degree in interior design at Stephen F. Austin University. Her role at Tree of Life is to monitor all church operations and keep everything running smoothly.
Ida's office hours are 9 am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday & 9 am - 1:30 pm Friday.

 John Burkwall, Music & Choir Director
John Burkwall joined Tree of Life in August of 2010 as our organist and choir director. He attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan in 1993, then went to the University of Michigan earning a degree in Performing Arts Technology, then his Master of Music in 2001. In his off time, John enjoys RPG's and painting intricate miniatures. John's quick quips and sense of humor keep everyone on their toes and smiling.
