The Rev. Christopher E. Lake, Senior Pastor
 
Pastor Chris Lake has been at Tree of Life Lutheran Church since September 1, 2008.  Pastor Chris (as he likes to be called) and his family moved here from Geneva, Nebraska where he served for 5 years. Pastor A native of Lubbock, Texas he attended Texas Lutheran College where he received his bachelors’ degree and Trinity Lutheran Seminary where he earned his Masters'.   His background includes serving at numerous churches with a heavy emphasis in youth ministry and chaplaincy over the past 15 years. He also has a strong background as computer tech and worked for a short amount in the industry before answering the call to serve God as a pastor.  He is certified as an EMT and once a month can be found on a truck vollenteering with Angleton EMS. He also enjoy's reading, photography, small electronics, trap shooting, golf, and playing his guitar or mandolin.

Pastor Chris and Katherine have been married for 14 years and have three children: Madeline age 9, Benjamin age 7, and Ainsley age 5. Katherine who is also a native Texan from Alvin  works from home for a local eye doctor and keeps the family moving in a positive direction.
