The Rev. Christopher E. Lake, Senior Pastor

Pastor Chris Lake has been at Tree of Life Lutheran Church since September 1, 2008. Pastor Chris (as he likes to be called) and his family moved here from Geneva, Nebraska, where he served for 5 years. Pastor Lake is a native of Lubbock, Texas. He attended Texas Lutheran College where he received his bachelors degree and Trinity Lutheran Seminary where he earned his Masters. His background includes serving at numerous churches with a heavy emphasis in youth ministry and chaplaincy over the past 16 years. He also has a strong background as a computer tech and worked for a short time in the industry before answering the call to serve God as a pastor. He is certified as an EMT and once a month can be found on a truck volunteering with Angleton EMS. He also enjoys reading, photography, small electronics, trap shooting, golf, and playing his guitar or mandolin.

Pastor Chris and and his wife Katherine are married with three children: Madeline, Benjamin, and Ainsley. Katherine is also a native Texan from Alvin. She keeps the family moving in a positive direction.
