Welcome to Tree of Life: We would be delighted to have you join us for worship. We pray your experience is filled with the hope and joy of the Risen Christ! We are a liturgical church. Our basic pattern of worship draws from centuries of Christians worship across the world. The Liturgy is Biblical and serves to focus our worship on God speaking to us. We respond in faith. As Dr. Martin Luther once said,
"We worship to hear God speak and to speak to the God who hears us."
Invitation to Communion: By Jesus' own invitation all baptized Christians are welcome to the table of Holy Communion. The Lutheran Church proclaims the presence of Christ in the elements, strengthening the Church as the body of Christ. Children and adults who do not yet commune are welcome to come forward with the congregation for a blessing. Children and adults with allergies or intolerance to alcohol are offered white grape juice so that they might participate fully in the meal.
Hearing Assistance: We have a hearing assist system in the sanctuary. If you have trouble hearing the service, ask an usher for a device.
Nursery: Nursery care for children birth to four years is available in the Education Building. Pagers are assigned to each parent when you sign in your child. If you are looking for a Church home, we invite you to become a part of our Church family.
For membership information, please speak to Pastor Lake or call the church at 936.539.9530. We are happy to answer your questions. New member classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 pm with a light supper and instruction.
Fellowship: Join us for coffee in the Fellowship Hall following the early service or in Narthex following late worship.
